The Sussex County Libraries strive to improve services and resources for their patrons - the residents of Sussex County. In these tough economic times, the Libraries have seen a reduction in revenue that has resulted in reduced staff, materials, and hours. Happily, the materials budget is back to where it was prior to the start of the recession and the Libraries are slowly rebuilding their staffing levels with the goal of resuming full hours of service.
In the meantime, there are a variety of ways residents of the County can support their libraries - be a volunteer, participate (or create!) a Friends group, donate (checks can be made out to Sussex County Library and mailed to Main Library, 125 Morris Turnpike, Newton, NJ 07860, attn: Stan Pollakoff), make suggestions, or simply show your support by using the library - check out your favorite books, audiobooks, music CDs or movies.
The Sussex County Libraries values its greatest assets - the people of Sussex County.
