SUMMER READING CLUB

Adults can discover  'Groundbreaking Reads @ Your Library' this summer at all branches of the Sussex County Library System.

The 2013 Summer Reading Club is open to adults and offers programs and prizes!  

The adult reading program will run from June 1 - August 3th.

Registration is required and begins on June 1st at all branches of the Sussex County Library System.

Each week, hand in a book review slip, and your name will go into a raffle for a weekly prize.

Not Just Chick Lit Book Club
"Not Just Chick Lit" is a book club designed for enthusiastic readers (both men & women) who are interested in reading and discussing good literary fiction. The Book Club will be reading The Lawgiver by Herman Wouk. Light refreshments will be served. NO Registration Required, but you may call 973-827-8095 for more information.

Writing is often a solitary craft, which is why BARDS offers a supportive and encouraging environment for both aspiring and experienced writers. Those who are seeking to become published professionals or simply share their creativity with others are welcome. Feel free to share all styles and genres, from fiction to journalism. Beginner's Yoga's Club 
The Beginner's Yoga Club meets every Wednesday in the Community Room at the Main Library. No experience is necessary and no registration is required. Wear loose clothing and come prepared to relax and make new friends.

Sussex County Library Needlers! 
Every Wednesday, join other knitters and crocheters at the library.  Learn new stitches, make new friends and share patterns.  No registration required.

Yoga with Jane  
Local yoga instructor Jane Bielen Schear teaches a weekly yoga class for adults. This is a free program. No previous yoga experience is necessary. Wear loose clothing.  No registration is required, but make sure you exchange contact information with Jane the first time you attend to be contacted about any scheduling changes. Meditation with Jane  
Local yoga instructor, Jane Bielen Schear, will also be teaching an advanced meditation class on Saturday afternoons. Meditations will vary, there are no prerequisites for the class nor do you have to attend the earlier yoga class to participate in meditation.  No registration is required, but make sure you exchange contact information with Jane the first time you attend to be contacted about any scheduling changes. Pinterest Craft-Bird Nest Necklace
Whether you're curious about Pinterest or already obsessed, join us for some Pinterest-inspired crafting. This month we will briefly introduce you to Pinterest and then create an adorable bird nest necklace. Supplies will be provided but if you have jewelry making pliers please bring them for the group to share. If you have a special chain, or beads you would like to use for eggs, bring those along too!  This program is for adults but teens and children are also welcome. Please register by July 15 so we can plan on enough supplies for everyone.

Cake Decorating Demonstration
Come see Elisa Schaffer, from the Seven Acre Baker in Newton, demonstrate her skills as she covers a cake in fondant, zebra stripes and a hot pink bow.  Space is limited. Please register by July 15, 2013.

Knit and Spin  
Join local artist Lisa Hirkaler and a group of beginner to advanced knitters, crocheters, and spinners.  The group will learn and share techniques, including fiber art.
