Find Spiderman

All Branches--All Ages

July 6 through August 14.

Spiderman is hiding somewhere in each library. Read the clue at each branch and find him. When you do, tell someone at the circulation desk or a teen volunteer to get your sticker.

Spidey will be hiding in a new location each week, so check each week for the new clue.

 


 


 

 

Each child will be allowed a full 10 minutes of one-on-one reading time. The dogs provide an uncritical ear while the children gain self-esteem, confidence, public speaking skills and a love of reading. The dogs never interrupt or criticize!

Read to a Dog

 Children ages 5-10 are invited to practice their reading skills by reading aloud to a certified therapy dog or Seeing Eye Puppy-in-Training.

Please arrive on time with a couple of books or early enough to pick out some library books.

A Preventative Search & Rescue Program

What would you do if you got lost in the woods?

Jen Enberg from NJ Search and Rescue will teach children what a child should do. She will also talk about preparedness and things kids can do not to get lost.

Meet an advanced trainee search and rescue dog.
