A Few Points about Magazines and Newspapers
To find a magazine you can look on the library shelves, or you can search the online catalog. The catalog will tell you:
- which issues of the magazines the library owns (called "holdings")

- where to find the issues

Example: National Geographic, Main Library, May, 1964 to date

name of magazine location of issues issues owned
To find articles in a magazine or on a specific topic, you need to search an "index" or an "article database." Look for a link on the library website to "Databases," or just ask a librarian! |
